For two hours on Sunday, Nov. 5, Greater Lawrence Technical High School was bustling with approximately 850 prospective students and their families who attended the school’s annual Open House.
Incoming students toured GLTS’ shops and were able to check our a variety of demonstrations depending on their interests. In automotive technology, current students performed air bag and wheel alignment demonstrations, in cosmetology, guests got a look at different hair styles and horticulture, there was a plant propagation and masonry demonstration.
Students and families could also learn more GLTS’s new STEAM Innovation Program, academic offerings, athletics and clubs and activities.
“We had a great turnout at this year’s Open House,” Superintendent John Lavoie said. “It was great to see so many prospective students interested in what we do here at GLTS, and current students did a fantastic job showcasing their work.”
