ANDOVER — Superintendent John Lavoie is pleased to announce that Greater Lawrence Technical School is holding its annual food drive to benefit local families.
Donation bins have been set up in the cafeteria and library, which will be in place until mid-December. All donated food items will be given to the Lazarus House in Lawrence.
Suggested items for donation include baking supplies (flour, sugar, salt, etc.), cereal, pasta, canned goods and peanut butter.
Since beginning the food drive earlier this month, GLTS has already collected 60 gallons of food through the generosity of students, faculty and staff.
“We’re happy to be able to hold this food drive for a third year to bring essential supplies to families in need, especially during the holidays,” Superintendent Lavoie said. “We’ve had a great start so far, and I want to thank everyone who has contributed and encourage those who have not to do so if they can!”
